7/18/10

A nice crowd today and good wind the shifted from SE to E 3-8 kts. We also had nearly a dozen visitors looking into the club and the hobby. Darrell lead the way in the Micro Magic Class  and new member George Manuel won in the SeaWind/1M followed by Darrell in a Soiling 1M.

We hope to announce a new round of increases in the membership very soon.

We are hosting the next leg of the Florida Footy Festival on Saturday July 31st. If anyone would like to lend a hand let Darrell know.

A new member/boat list will be posted today. Please check the list and let us know any corrections that are necessary.

6/27/10

Light SW winds were the order of the day but they were pretty constant so we were able to get a lot of racing in.

We’d like to welcome Tom Cognetti and his new Micro Magic to the fleet.

Bob VanNuise led the MM class in the morning and 5 different One Meter skipper won races later in the day. Ed Mooney and Rich Owen  won races showing that even the new guys can win. Congrats!

We will at the pond next Sunday July 4th we will surely toast the celebation of our unapologetically proud nation.

6/20/10

It was a 1 meter class day at the pond. A couple of Micro Magics did some tuning, but the racing was the bigger class. Wind was light and generally from the SW with some building later in the day before the storm. The most interesting story of the day was that three different boats won races in these conditions. The SeaWinds had the best results but a Soling 1M captured a race and finished in the top three and our new CR914 also won a race and had good finishes.

The Micro Magic NOR is out and we have 8 verbal committments in the first week, out of the 32 open positions.

Ed Mooney had his Footy For Sale in the For Sale link.

6/6/10

Those that didn’t make it today missed a very nice day of sailing and  a number of visitors interested in joining the club. Newest member Ken Schmidt of Oviedo brought his CR914 and spend the day wringing out some long layover issues but he enjoyed meeting our members and seeing the interest in our club. Until we have the membership applications in hand we don’t want to go official, but it looks like we will have a Micro Magic and SeaWind to add to the roster.

The wind was quite steady from the SW building from 3-6 early to puch 10-12 by the end of the day.

We continue to have considerable interest in starting a weekday series. We will start a poll on the Forum to see how many want to participate and when you would like to sail. If you haven’t gone to the Forum before please join and post your questions, news or any RC info that members might find interesting.

 5/30/10

An excellent day at the pond. We were fortunate to have Dave and George of the Sand Pond (Titusville) club join us with their US1M boats. Both boats fairly new to the skippers so they brought them to spar against our fleet of SeaWinds. We had fun racing against them and we hope that they will eventually be regular members of our One Meter Class.

Bruce gets dangerous. In the Micro Magic class, Bruce Birnbach had the afterburners on and was almost unbeatable. We also had a the Titusville guests racing the MM’s which thet really enjoyed.

The recent rain had the pond level up by about a foot and helped the small amout of algae that was growing in the low water. With the “rainy season” upon us, things look good to having the pond in great racing condition.

Bill Gale stopped by to report that the feedback ftom the EC-12 Regatta was uniformly positive and that it’s very likely we’ll be doing it again next year. We enjoyed hosting the event and will continue to support Bill, his club and the EC-12 class

Each week we continue to have members but new boats and new folks are trying out the hobby. We may have a CR914 Skipper interested joining the club.

Fair Sailing!

5/23/10

Your editor was out of town at the SeaWind Region3 Regatta so we will update the activities next week. In the mean time. please visit the Forum for a regatta report.

5/16/10

Quite a busy weekend for the club. We hosted a 20 boat EC-12 regatta that is a qualifier for boats to move on to higher level events. This was the first time we had an EC-12 regatta at the pond and we are happy to report that the pond and venue are just fine for holding events for boats of that size. Along the way, the club made many new friends and we hope to see them back next year.

A secondary happening was out meeting the folks in Jacksoville and we are very close to an arrangement in helping them start a six boat Micro Magic fleet.

We welcome George Manuel to the fleet with his 5800 class classic boat and new SeaWind. In addition we hope to officially announce four more new member in the next week or two, including out first sailing female member.

The steady growth of the club opens up some interesting doors on the racing front. We will have several 32″ and under boats so a U-32 class could happen (this could bring back some Victorias). We now also have a couple of Laser and other over One-Meter boats so an over-1M class may be taking shape. The other major concept is a discussion of a Wednesday racing series (we’d still be the SundaySloopers) but we already have several folks at the ponf during the week, so why not take advatage of the facility.

Next weekend, yours truly will be at the SeaWind Region 3 Regatta in Greenville SC along with Bruce. Racing will be conducted as usual next Sunday. Stay tuned to the forum for reports on progress at the regionals.

Weekend weather was sunny with temps in the low 90’s and SSE winds 3-8

 5/9/10

A really great day at the pond, especially considering it was Mother’s Day. The weather was pleasant, with clear skies and moderate humidity with tmps in the high 80’s. The breeze ws out of the NNE and blew quite steadily all day from 4-10 kts.

A nice start to the day was finding our friends from the sailing club downtown at the pond sailing their EC-12’s. They ran race after race and then were kind enough to loan the radios to several of us to race. After a couple of races we got the handle on the large boats that weigh 3 to 4 times the boats we normally sail. Cooperation between clubs is important and very enjoyable.

While on the subject of EC-12’s, don’t forget we will be hosting a leg of the EC-12 Nationals qualification regatta next weekend. Bruce and Darrell will be at the pond on Friday to help set-up the regatta and several other will join them to assist at the regatta on Saturday and Sunday. The regatta will not go past noon on Sunday so we will start our normal club races at the time.

The day ended up being a SeaWind Sunday, with Rich racing his “Land Shark” for the first time, finishing 3rd behind Darrel and Bob V. We have two skippers with boats on order so the SeaWind class is maintaining it’s regrowth. In two weeks Darrell will be representing the club at the SeaWind Region 3 regatta in Greenville SC. Bruce will be traveling along as pit crew.

See all of you next Sunday!

3/21/10

Kind of a crazy day at the pond. Overcast and drizzily which was better than the heavy rain forecast. So we sailed from under the awning and got in 20 races before wind let us down.

Tome Lucke recieved his Micro Magic from Graupner and it’s in Bruce’s hands right now so look for his new boat on the water soon.

On the boat ownership front, Adrian sold his ENTZ to George Reed of SPMYC and Bruce picked up his Footy 507. Tom Lucke also purchased a Footy Poolshark from National Champion Chris Steiger. We also have an inquiry for a SeaWind, so keep an eye out for any used boats out there.

On Saturday Tim Willings and Darrell went to Palm Beach Gardens to the Soling 1M All Florida Cup Regatta. This is an annual event that moves from club to club who belong to the All FLorida organization. Each year the clubs send their best two Soling skippers to compete for a club trophy as well as individual honors, from the best in Florida. The Sloopers are not members but have submitted our intent to join. Fortunately there was an opening in the roster because of a last minute cancellation and it was voted tht Darrell, despite not being a Soling 1M owner/skipper could sail in the event. Borrowing a boat from Tim, Darrell finished twelveth in the regatta, ahead of a number of long time Soling skippers.

Darrel is committing to attending the SeaWind Regopn 3 event in Greenville SC May 21-23 and would like some company representing our club.

3/14/10

My heart felt thanks to all of the volunteers and competitors that made the Footy NCR a success despite some rough weather conditions.

Tim Willings and Darrell will be representing the club at the All FL Soling 1M regatta in Punta Gorda on Saturday. Regular sailing on Sunday

 2/21/10

Beautiful sunny skies and 4-8 kts of breeze helped us get in 20 races on Sunday. New skipper Tom Lucke won the day in MM using Darrell’s boat who spent most of the day helping with tunimg boats and discussisng tactics with new skippers.

We were glad to see that Vernon was back albiet with a wounded eye that made it hard for him to see the boats. New skipper John Harrington joined the club. John has quite an fleet of boats, including an EC-12, Micro Magic, SeaWind, Laser and Soling 1M.

The 2010 SeaWind Regionals will be held on Mat 21-23 in Greenville SC. Anyone interested in sailing the event, contact Darrell for the NOR and Entry Form.

2/14/10

St Valentine’s Day kept the streak of negative weather forecasts that turned into beautiful days alive. Initially very chilly, the blue skies and bright sun made for a perfect day of sailing with 2-6 knts out of the NE to NW. Several new boats are on order ans we will report when they gey on the water. Steve edged Darrell in the MM class and Bob V edged Darrell in SeaWinds.

2/7/10

Despite a relatively dire weather forecas and competition from some other sporting event (some sort of American Football thing) we had a great day of sailing at the pond and plenty of news to report.

He had the first Footy races in quite a while and can foresee more boats joining in as the boats are performing better and are still the lowest cost way to enter the sport.

Darrell lead the way in Micro Magic with Steve also winning a couple of races, Bruce won one too!

It look like an approach to the Sunday schedule, is that all boats are in the water at any time for tuning, testing and sparring. Early in the day we start Footy races, followed by Micro Magic and then in the early afternoon the one meter boats.

An update to membership includes Joe Apfl from Orlando who has a Micro Magic on order, and Dennis O’Reilly also has a Micro Mgic on order. Glen Pruni will be rejoining the club with a Solong 1M, Footy and has purchased a used SeaWind.

Our mission is to starting as many of the members there on Sundays, let’s encourage our friends to get on the water.

 1/31/10

The weather forecast ws once again overly pessimistic as the temps were cool but the 10-20kt winds turned out to be 6-12 out out of the NE.

Welcome two new members Noel Donaldson from Davenport FL (via the UK) with his Micro Magic and Soling. Also Tom Lucke from Winter Haven with a Laser and Footy.

To all, forget the forecast just come and sail, he have great racing regardless of the weather.

1/24/10

Stiff breezes but a beautiful day, unlike the forecast once again, made for a great if on the edge sailing. Micro Magics were sailed today and we had boats with A,B and C rigs on the water. The somewhat overpowered A rigs still maintained the lead at the end of the day. Results are posted on the racing results page.

Hopefully the wind will calm down a bit tnext weekend and we can get the one meter boats going again.

1/10/10

The waether forecast was for temps in the 40’s and 15-25 kts which convinced many folks to stay home but like most forecasts the reality was quite different. Bruce and Darrell were there at the pond at a little after 10 and decided to wait until noon to see if anyone else would make it. The sun was out and skies were almost cloudless and soon the jackets were coming off and boats were in the water. The wind was a pretty consistent 8-12 kts our of the SW and just a gorgeous day.

Steve lead the way in Micro Magics and Tim brought several S1M’s that had a quite workout from skippers and several visitors trying out the sport. It looks like we might have a couple of new members coming up.

1/3/10

A chilly start  for the new year. We had one of the few cloudy and unpleasant days but still had a nice SW breeze at about 5-8 kts. Because of the cool temps we had a somewhat abreviated day and onlt raced the Micro Magic and Darrel came out on top for the day.

12/27/09

A fairly cool day today and light breezes but it was enough for Steve to  clinch the MM Class for the Fall Series, great job Steve. Jim Longley has purchased Bruce’s SeaWind and Dennis O’Reilly is on his way with his.

We had a lot of visitors today and are anticipating some big news from our new friends as soon as they clarify some points.

We’re  looking at the third Saturday in January for the Florida Footy Festival.

12/20/09

I thought we’d get a change in our weekly report as the forecast was for really cold weather. The weather was chilly for Orlando, but it ended up shirtsleeve weather and a nice Sw wind 5-12kts. For the day Dave whitaker won the MM class and tied with Darrell in the SeaWinds. Glad to see Dave back.

Thanks to Adrian for letting Steve borrow his boat after the rudder servo on Steve’s boat failed. Dennis O was again present and also lending a nice helping hand.

We are continuing to have invitations to hold regattas from various classes and are giving a lot of thought to adding some major events to the calendar. We are beginning to have membership grow again so the volunteers we need to hold there events should be available.

We will be sailing next Sunday

Merry Christmas!

12/13/09

No it’s not an alien invasion. The Boat is a Bottleboat Class boat, 36″ long and 575 sg.in of sail. There are about 100 sailing in the UK and this one was sailed by Alan Viney of the Guildford Model YC in the UK who  did very well against out flotilla of SeaWinds and Solings. Interestingly as the wind grew to over 10 kts the boat was even more competitive.

No surprise that it was another beautiful day at the pond with cloudless skies, mid-80’s and 8-12 kts of SW breeze. Adrian won both classes today by very narrow margins and it was great to see 8 Micro Magics on the line.

12/6/09

Early clouds broke open for a glorious day at the pond. Wind was variable 3-10 from the SSW to W but perfect for great sailing for the most part.

Adrian took the day in MM and Darrel in 1M Class. We also look to sign up two new members which is a continuation of our growth pattern.

 11/30/09

A beautiful day at the pond. A nice crowd, plenty of new interest , winds at 3-10kts out of the SW. Darrel took the day in the MM class and Bob V edged out Tim is the 1M class.

The club continues to have great support from the members with folks stepping up to do starting and scoring as well as other background fleet duties.

The club was again prominent in Model Yachting with an article on the OMMO regatta and in the rules column, our suggested topic was featured.

Om top of evrything else, there are discussions with another club on the possibility of holding a regional regatta for a very large class and the opening of an opportunity to include members of the other club in the Sloopers with the start of a new class.

In a short time we hope to iron out some details on all of the new happenings with the club.

 11/23/09

The editoe was out this week but we understand that there was a good crowd and a great 10-12kt westeely

 11/16/09

Sorry for the delay in posting, but it was a great day sailing. Plenty of sunshine and winds from the west, varying from light to 8-10kts later in the day. We had visitors from California, Melboune and Sailing Club of Orlando sailing with us. For the day Bob V won the MM class with Steve finishing second and Darrell edged out Bob in the One meter class on a tie-breaker.

The big news was Bruce and the new trailer. It’s rigged to carry 5 Solings plus all of thier equipment or more than a dozen MM’s. The trailer will be used for a variety of functions including the start of a junior program, lead by Tim Willings, at Lake Highland Academy. This all is part of developing initiatives to grow the club as well as RC sailing in Central Florida. If you know anyone interested in sailing but isn’t ready to make the full investment without some exposure, we are becoming able to rent them boats at a nominal cost.

Also, Darrell went to the Vero Beach (Indian River Model YC) for the Florida Footy Festival IV event. He had to birrow a boat but finshed tied for third in a 16 boat regatta.

11/8/09

How windy was it? Try we had waves in our pint glass and fan blades were blowing off the fan over the bar. Much of the day was spent sailing in 10+ knots but as many races had many gusts over 20. Despite the high but fun winds it was a beautiful sunny day.

It was a great week for the club and Bruce Birnbach. Bruce won the day in the Micro Magic class using a “B” rig which was the right sail for the day. Additionally, we purchased a really nice 5′x8′ trailer to transport our building fleet of loaner/charter boats. Tim Willings has donated 4 Solings to the cause and Vernon a Victoria. We will add a Footy or two in the near future and looking for a SeaWind or two.

Bruce’s neighbor Dave tried out the boats and is getting real tempted.

11/1/09

Summer continued into November this Sunday with warm tempertatures but he humidity was fine. The winds were up and down with periods of light and variable and other times 6-8 knots mostly from the West.

A nice crowd today with our friend from the UK Noel Donaldson eadging into first in the Micro Magic class followed by Steve Rosenwasser, Darrell, Bob V, Bruce and Vernon. Ed Mooney announced that he has purchased and registered his MM and hopes to hae that boat in the water in sort order. The One Meters took to the water and we had a nice turnout of SeaWinds and Solings.

10/25/09

After quite some time in negociations we had reporter and photographer from the East Orlando Sun and Seminole Voice covering RC sailing in Central Florida today. Four hours of picture taking and interviews will provide plenty of information to encourage new members to join the fun. We’ve added a link to their website so the article will be available whenit is finished.

The day would not have been as hugely successful without the help of Butch Bragg and the Sand Point Model Yacht Club from Titusville. We had a nice turnout of our menbers and Tim Willings did yeoman work for the day. Special mention to Steve for docking his MM and hekping for scoring and starting, it’s part of what makes out club so great.

We set  record for folks stopping by and trying out the boats and there looks like an increase in the club membership is on the horizon.

 10/18/09

An absolutely beautiful day with plenty of sunshine, low humidity and great sailing.

Micro Magic Darrell, Steve, Vernon and Bruce. Seawind, Krasoski, VanNuise and Mooney

10/11/09

A mixed day of rain and sun with winds that were from drifter to 10kts. In the Micro Magic class Darrell won the day followed by Adrian and Bruce. Later in the day Adrian won the SeaWind class followed by Darrell and Bob.

 10/4/09

We started the day with around 5 kts out of the NE and had 5 Micro Magics in the water. Darrell was trying out his new “C” rig for the first time and it was interesting to see how it sailed decently against the “A” rigs. For the day, Adrian came in first, followed by Steve, Bruce, and Vernon.

Later in the day Ed Moonry joined is with his brand new SeaWind and he and Darrell spent time sparring to give Ed some stick time and lots of tuning advice for his new boat.

 9/27/09

An interesting day at the pond. Early the wind was Easterly at about 10 kts and we sailed 6 MM races and broke for lunch. A storm came through and we thought we’d be done for the day but after the storm cleared we had some more great racing.

We are about to enter the Fall Series of races and anticipate out “Snowbird” members to start filtering back. That also means our Soling fleet will become more active which we look forward to.

 9/20/09

Quite a busy weekend for the Sloopers. The Inaugural Orlando Micro Magic Open was held on Saturday and those who still had the energy left had a great day of racing on Sunday.

We’d like to thank the following people for their outstanding effort in having the successful OMMO Regatta:

Race Director - Bob Van Nuise (His first attempt as RD and a great job done)

Starter - Butch Bragg from the Sand Point Model Yacht Club in Titusville

Head Scorer - Yvonne Rios

Scorers - Gretchen Krasoski

                 Lynne Van Nuise

                 Jennifer Krasoski

Announcer - Vernon Peckham (Pirate pigtail and all)

Raffle Contributors - Latitude 24 Designs, Lighthouse Embroidery and Vernon Peckham

We had the first opportunity to use the new course board but by Bruce Birnbach and we were able to find out how to make the already great board even better.

We also used the TWEAT computer scoring system for the first time and it worked very well as we kept the event moving at a great clip because we had an automated heat generation system using TWEAT.

We have recieved plenty of positive comment about the regatta and the skippers are all wanting to come back next year.

9/13/09

Winds were brisk all day long, with them coming from the West. I believe Bruce told me that they were between 8 to 13 mph. We completed 14 racing heats with the Micro Magics and Bob had his Soling out for six heats then his Seawind out for six heats, with Dave joining Bob on the water in the 1 meters with his Seawind.
Bob, Dave, Bruce, Darrell, Vernon, Steve and Ruffy had a great time racing. Everyone did a fine job on rounding the marks cleanly and providing room at the marks. The results have been posted on our “Racing
Results” page, with Ruffy taking 1st, Bruce in 2nd, Steve in 3rd, Darrell in 4th and Vernon in 5th. Bob took 1st in both the Seawind and the Soling classes today, and Dave took 2nd in the Seawind class.

This weekend (Saturday) we will all be on the water for the Orlando Micro Magic Open Regatta and hopefully mother nature will permit us to enjoy the day with her. We look forward to anyone wanting to come out and watch the action, as well as any volunteers that can help in any capacity. Friday is a free practice day, and Saturday we will be at the Firkin & Kegler bright and early.

We are hoping to have some great weather, great racing action, meet new MicroMagic skippers and make new friends! Together, at the Firkin & Kegler venue, we are sure to have a fantastic time!
See you all there!

9/06/09

Today we were greeted back at our venue with hot temperatures and light winds from the East early on and then later in the day from the West. We completed 14 racing heats with the Micro Magics and Bob had his Soling out for six heats then his Seawind out for six heats. The racing early on was tough in the small M. Magics as the winds were very light and 5 boats in the water. Bruce, Darrell, Vernon, Steve and Ruffy gave it their best and had some close good racing. Everyone did a fine job on rounding the marks cleanly and providing room at the mark. Bob joined the fleet on the water just after the midpoint of the racing heats, and sometimes we had a tough time trying to see our boats from behind his big 1-meter sails, but we had a good time nonetheless and it made the racing interesting by mixing it up. The results have been posted on our “Racing Results” page, and in the end Ruffy Took 1st today with Darrell in 2nd, Steve in 3rd, Bruce in 4th and Vernon in 5th. Bob took 1st in both the Seawind and the Soling classes today as well.

Great racing and it was great to be back at the Firkin & Kegler venue.

Seawind NCR Day 2:

The Seawind 2009 National Championship races are complete.

The 1st day (Saturday) of heat races saw plenty of tough racing in the extremely light wind and erratic breeze conditions (swirls) where much of the races were done trying to drift in the direction you wanted to go rather than sail to it.
Mother nature again gave us a very hard Sunday morning with the same exact conditions as the day before, but without the rain coming down onto us from the day before. Sunday’s second half of racing saw a much different day of racing as the sun came out for the 1st time in two days and the winds really picked up for the most part with the occasional low wind lulls.
We had a fantastic time in all, meeting many of the other skippers that we knew and meeting some new skippers and making some new friends at Hop Brook Lake. Yvonne helped out with the data-entry for the scoring on Sunday, with the head scorer being Melanie Benvenue due to timeframe commitments by the original data-entry person, Carl Hansen who created the TWEAT Odd/Even Scoring System and things kept running without a hitch in the action. Yvonne is now fully versed in the new TWEAT System for sailing regattas.
The racing was tough, with everyone being a very competent skipper in very tough weather/wind conditions which were 180 degrees opposite of all the winds we had at our Seawind Region 3 event.Congratulations go out to all of those skippers that competed, to the volunteers, the race committee, and our significant others for the enjoyment we all derive from attending these major events!

 Seawind NCR Day 1:

Today the SundaySloopers woke up to rain with very little wind on the race course. Conditions were very tough with very little to no wind, and from no specific direction. One second you could be ahead 5 boat lengths and think you’re clean and clear to the finish line, and the next second it would be as if you were in the Bermuda Triangle with no wind at all, drifting, with the rest of the pack coming up with wind and steam but their wind would suddenly die as they caught up and they could coast on by easily. This was pretty much the order of the day so you had to stay on the ball the whole time. The local racers that know this lake, were very meticulous in their lines and soon some of us started to notice where they would sail and when they would make changes, so we adapted and gave it our best each and every race.

The Floridians attending the Seawind Nationals are Charles, Bruce, Adrian, Darrell, Yvonne and Ruffy. Bruce and Yvonne helping us out as the four others gave it their best on the water. After the 1st day of racing odd/even heat races, the results are attached in the image below, but the top ten are as follows with the top 3 positions separated by 1 point each just like at the Region 3 races we hosted! Talk about an exciting end to the day.

1st: Mike Eades       with 14 pts.
2nd: Cliff McCarty   with 15 pts.
3rd: Ruffy Rios        with 16 pts.
4th: Fred Goebel with 20 pts.
5th: Hank Buchannon with 29 pts.
6th: Peter Jennings with 29 pts.
7th: Charles Samaha with 30 pts.
8th: Al Stiewing with 31 pts.
9th: John Arkenberg with 32 pts.
10th: Mary Goebel with 33 pts.

Tomorrow starts the 2nd leg of heat races and we are supposed to have better weather and conditions so its’ anyone guess where things will end up, so stay tuned and we will post up again tomorrow night the final results of the 2009 Seawind Nationals being held here in Connecticut at Hop Broook Lake.
seawindncr_day1results.jpg8/16/09 The winds were coming from the ESE today, and per Bruce’s anemometer we had up to 13 mph winds nearly all day. The weather was great and the winds really helped keep us comfortable during this summer day. The Micro Magics hit the water first with Vernon, Bruce, Darrell, Adrian, Ruffy and Steve. The course was setup parallel to the shoreline from East to West with the Eastern bouy being the windward mark, and a pair of bouys to round as the leeward marks before coming back to the finish line. The sailing was very good with some lite discussion on rules as we progressed through-out the day. We sailed from the bar area with Cristy taking our orders through the day keeping us hydrated. After 8 races with the Micro Magics, the Seawinds hit the water with Darrell, Adrian and Bob sailing their boats. The Seawinds really seems to like the nice steady winds coming from the East and easily made it through the same course layout the MM’s had used earlier. At the end of the day, we sat around and the weather/winds were being so nice, that nobody wanted to leave right away… so Adrian pulls out his iphone and begins a game of “name that tune” using our club PA system. The game got so good we even had Cristy and another Firkin & Kegler employee playing along. It was a very nice finish to a perfect day of sailing. The results should be posted soon for today’s heat races.8/09/09  Light yet steady winds through-out the day allowed us to sail many heat races. The wind was mainly from the East-North-East with it occasionally coming from the West just to keep things interesting. The day was very hot, and Ruffy brought along an extension cord and large fan to keep the heat down as we sat to sail, something that some of the other skippers enjoyed as well standing next to Ruffy.Today we had Bob Van Nuise join us once more as he returned from his vacation. I will bring out my Seawind next weekend so that at least three of us can get some 1 meter sailing in, currently my Seawind is in pieces as I am finishing up the travel case foam for the Nat’s.Today we had 5 MicroMagics, a Soling and a Seawind in the water. Vernon, Bruce, Darrell, Brian, Steve, Bob and Ruffy gave it their best today and had a great time with the steady winds. Good job by everyone sailing today!
